Exiting your employer's health care arrangements

When departing from your employer, you must discontinue your participation in the group health care arrangements. However, you have several options to maintain your membership. 

While there won’t be any changes in contributions, they may now be directly debited from your bank account instead of being deducted from your monthly salary. 

In some instances, the contribution deduction method may switch from arrears to advance.

Continuing privately

If you wish to maintain the same membership but start paying contributions via debit order, complete the relevant form for Discovery/Momentum. Include a copy of your ID and a recent bank statement/letter (not older than 3 months). 

The same process applies to Turnberry Gap Cover.

Retiring

If you are retiring from your employer, and would like to continue the same membership, but just start paying your contributions by debit order, you need to complete the relevant form for Discovery/Momentum and include a copy of your identity document and bank statement/letter form the bank (not older than 3 months). 

The same applies to Turnberry Gap Cover.

Joining a new employer

If you are joining a new employer, on the same medical scheme, you will need to ask the new employer to transfer you to their group arrangements. 

If the new employer has a different medical scheme arrangement, we will terminate your membership at the end of month of your resignation.

How to terminate your membership

Your membership to the medical scheme is tied to your employment and DIGI. You can only terminate it if you leave the company or if you join your spouse’s scheme. To initiate termination, email the appropriate payroll contact person and are welcome to copy supergroup@advisoroffice.com Please include your membership details.

If you leave your job, you will still have the option to keep your membership active, with no change in contributions, however, payments will now come directly from your bank account instead of your salary. In some cases, the deduction frequency may switch from arrears to advance payments.
